Dangerous Dave’s PS3

This is painting a very interesting picture.  It looks like Sony alone with its PS3, PS2, and PSP sold 4 million units in North America alone.  The PS3 put up 1.2 million units as well.  The numbers tell a very compelling story.  Even more so becuase now we have the story that the blu ray is going to be dominating the set in the future.  In fact if you were to type in hd dvd vs. blu ray into google, you would find the first article which is by CNET.  THey just updated their guide on January 5th 2008 which states that:

“Editor’s note, January 5, 2008: Because of the recent news that Warner Bros. Entertainment will be exclusively supporting Blu-ray, CNET recommends refraining from purchasing an HD DVD player in the near future. Exclusive support of Warner Bros. Entertainment gives Blu-ray a large advantage in terms of studio backing, leaving only Paramount and Universal as major studios releasing movies exclusively on the HD DVD format. This guide will be overhauled after CES to reflect this and any other news announced at the show. ”

If that doesn’t foretell the end of HD DVD I don’t know what does…
