New Model PS3 Getting Faster Hardrive
Many rumors are starting to spurt that the new 40 gig PS3 will also come with a big surprise. 
It will include a 7200 RPM hard drive which will, according to reports, reduce the amount of load time and even downloads to the system (I think the downloads rumor is a bit fishy because it doesn’t make much technical sense. For example, if I were to download something from the Internet, my hard drive spin speed wouldn’t necessarily be limiting how fast I can write to the hard drive. It would only start to limit if I were to write to my hard drive faster than it can spin and any Internet connection minus an OC 192 (okay exaggerating) but still, you get my drift. I think it will definitely load games much faster from the hard drive and will overall help the PS3 (since we know that it can take punishment like nobodies business in regards to extreme conditions [see here])
