Game Spuring Music Sales?
It looks like all signs point to an astounding yes! Dragonforce is a power metal band debuted on the Guitar Hero 3 video game and according to the band and its label, the sales of the music have gone through the roof since the drop of Guitar Hero 3. The band’s song (single) is on top of the digital delivery charts called “Through the Fire and Flames”. The song increased its sales by 183 percent and I am sure that didn’t hurt their ego one bit! The amazing part about the influx is that the songs have beaten out sales by The Rolling Stones, Metallica, and even The Killers. Looks like I will have to debut my single “Delicious Dave” on a video game soon.
