100 Gig Blu-Ray Games on PS3
I think we all have heard the recent announcement by Hitachi about the new lineup of Blu-Ray disks that are 100 gig and are compatible with most blu-ray players through a driver update (including the PS3). This intrigues me because it provides many skeptics about the blu-ray medium the opportunity to work with something that is enough to compete and even beat HD-DVD quality. This even helps as a tech geek putting 11 movies on a single Blu-Ray disk. This also makes me wonder if any of the developers will jump ship to these new disks to create larger video games. If I were a betting man, I would bet that in a year or so we will see more games come out on this quad layer technology. I hope so because it will help developers go to better technology to create games. That plus GTA would be out of CONTROL!
