So I just downloaded the new GTA IV video and I have to say it looks pretty bad.  I am unsure what happened between when they first showed the game to the world to now, but it looks much more compressed (texturally) and it seems like they had to super compress it.  The conspiracy theorist in me reasons that GTA IV couldn’t be put on the Xbox 360 as is (along with the PS3 version which was stated by Rockstar) due to the disk space and they had to compress the visuals and textures even more so that they could squeeze it on the xbox 360 and then port it over to the PS3 as many game developers currently do.  I hope that is not the case but a part of me wouldn’t be surprised if that was the problem.  Do this, if you have a PS3, go check out the original video and then download the recent addition to the PSN and tell me what you think.  You will be sorely disappointed.
