According to the site, the beta will have the crossoroads map with 16 and 32 players. They will include different game modes such as extraction, elimination, and suppression. you can customize your player a la Rainbow Six: Vegas. YAY!

However, the new 09 Madden is very promising. I just downloaded the demo of it and I feel that I can say that it is one of the best Maddens out to date. Shocking is this news? They have cornered the market for the bluray drive and, frankly, have done an excellent job of it. I recently went ahead and got a netflix subscription last week so that I could use the PS3 more extensively. I wish they would get the netflix app that the xbox 360 got but we will see where that goes. If not, there will be SOMEONE who will be able to stream it to my PS3 and thats fine too.

I tried the service this weekend and here is my suggestion. It seems as though the video service is on the same servers as the games. I came to this conclusion because I stopped a game download and started the video service and it downloaded with the same stream which is not good. I was only using about 1/2 of my bandwidth and the movie skipped and stopped 4 times. Granted, that’s not bad considering its a hour an a half movie. Then, I tried a HD video and that was insane. That took much longer and I could not stream it. My verdict…PS3 needs a netflix add on as well.

The first awesome deal is a 320 GB Western DIgital Passport. The reason I know its great? Because I own one myself! These things are wonderful! You may have to do a bit of tweaking to get it working on your PS3 but it can work with your PS3 once formatted correctly. So what does that mean to you? that means your 20 gig that you bought when the PS3 first came out can be upgraded to 340 gigs (320 passport + Ps3 hard drive). Check out the picture.
The second sick deal is a Cavalry 2 TB Hard drive. Yes, thats 2000 gigabytes (approx). You can save at your hearts content to this thing. its a monster. You could store, backup, and save almost every disk you have (if not every disk). (picture: ) It also will work with the PS3 with a correct format of the disk. Both are super sweet deals and they are both great

The second sick deal was a 300 Powerline HD Ethernet Adapter. Here is why it is so required for anyone gaming over wifi. I used to game over wifi so I know that your latency SUCKS! It does, don’t try to hide your shame. You shoot people and….you shoot them again…and again….and find out 3 seconds later that you died. HA! That’s because of latency. The Ethernet adapter omits the latency because it goes through your existing power line in your house…wires= MUCH less latency. I know all this because I have them in my own house. I havent found it to be anywhere (including bigger places like Walmart). I think thats a good sign for PS3 but news indicates that Sony has eaten 3 billion from the sales of PS3′s. However, the fuel and fire are running and they are on a sprint to beat the 360 sales soon.
